As many of you know, there is currently a proposal for a water pipeline to extract 330 million litres of water per day from Parteen Basin in Co. Clare/Co. Limerick and to build a 167km pipeline from the west which is set to supply water to the east of the country.
You can view Futureproof Clare's submission to An Bord Pleanala in relation to Uisce Eireann's latest response as part of the planning application for the pipeline here.
If you are interested in this issue and other issues around extractivism and militarism affecting Clare and surrounding areas, then you may be interested in attending climate camp, where many people will come together to discuss and confront the Shannon water pipeline, Clare fracked gas importation proposal, Aughinsh Alumina, data centres, the use of Shannon airport for US military and more.
